I recently completed playing Mass Effect, and thought it was pretty progressive. It had non-player gay characters, and the primary player character could have gay relationships.
Despite this, all the female models of the game were the blown up comic book perfect figure woman that it prevalent in soooooo many modern games.
I think that video games should have a sense of suspension of belief, a great story, and of course game play. However, it suffers from the same faults found in other popular forms of entertainment. I would be really interested in seeing some normal looking folks in video games.
